Sophia Dunkley’s impressive century was pivotal in leading England to a series clinching victory over Ireland in their third ODI match on Sunday in Worcester. The match, however, took a dramatic turn as England suffered a worrying batting collapse towards the end.
Setting out to bat first, England initially appeared poised for a commanding score, thanks to Dunkley’s powerful knock of 119 and an additional 39 runs from Maia Bouchier. Yet, the latter stages of their innings proved disastrous, with the team losing their final six wickets for just 31 runs, ultimately being all out for 291 in 48.5 overs.
