Jamie Vardy is back in English football, having joined Burnley in the Championship as a free agent. The 39-year-old striker, who will celebrate his 40th birthday in January, has inked a deal that will keep him at the club until the end of the current season.
After a stint at Cremonese in Italy last year, Vardy’s return to the UK comes amid speculation about a possible homecoming to Leicester City, where he enjoyed a legendary 13-year career, including winning the Premier League in 2016 and lifting the FA Cup in 2021. However, he dismissed those rumors over the summer.
Despite his growing presence in the media world, Vardy remains committed to playing, aiming to make a significant impact in his new role at Burnley.
