In a significant development for West Ham United, Daniel Kretinsky is poised to become the club’s largest shareholder following a recent agreement with co-owner David Sullivan. This move is a setback for Amanda Staveley, who had been making strides to acquire a stake in the Championship team.

Staveley, known for her previous role as a director at Newcastle, attended West Ham’s recent 4-2 victory against Wolves, where she expressed her interest in purchasing Vanessa Gold’s 25.1% share in the club. Earlier this year, Staveley had reached a deal with the Gold family and was leading a consortium aimed at gaining a position on the board of the east London club.
