Her parents, Pete and Fran Gillam, had embraced a peaceful life in Bédar, Almería, after retiring. Well-known in their community, Fran, a former headteacher, was particularly active in organizing events to benefit the local school, while the couple indulged in their love for padel at a nearby sports facility.
Despite assurances from Spanish authorities that the vehicle involved in the fatal incident had been thoroughly examined and that no personal belongings were recovered, Gillam-Kirton remains unconvinced. The assistant headteacher from Nottinghamshire believes her parents were likely wearing their wedding rings at the time of their deaths, and she continues to press for answers.
